🏁 Finish Line 🏁
New Year’s Eve 2024, we were sitting at the kitchen table playing card games when my oldest son snapped a pop tart in half to eat. As a family we had to discuss such monstrous behavior. When we called our families we found that they too had rituals of how they eat their pop tarts. Then, I posted on Facebook, and away we go.
I brought the idea to the podcast crew and it quite land how I was feeling about it. I kept asking around trying to land places to have pop tart events but fell on deaf ears. I brought the idea to Happy Sips: Specialty Drinks and Coffee in the Hickory Arcade Tunnel during an appointment. “Have it here” and picked a date.
With so many things in this world that feel like they are there to divide us. The sensitive topics we are surrounded by with so many different opinions whether it is religion, politics, or social views is exhausting. I wanted to focus on us, as humans, our quirky behaviors and something FUN.
It is one thing to have an idea, it’s another thing to act on the idea, it’s another thing to chase the idea, and it’s an even better thing when the final product makes you proud.

Def Leppard Dinner / Background Playlist <~~~~ LINK
This Hickory Algorithm playlist features nothing but the band Def Leppard. BUT, be prepared this may not be the Def Leppard from the 1900s - as my kids say.
Here is the track list and a little background of each track:
Promises - Released 1999, my senior year of High School. This Def Leppard tour was a Top 3 concerts ever that summer, two rows back from the stage front and center, and the concert was a short time after graduation. I love this song.
Action - This song just rips. It’s impossible to not shake your money maker when the chorus is slamming.
Fractured Love - I never heard this song till my brother took me to a Def Leppard Concert (I was 11 I think) and they played this song. Monster song. I remember Tesla and Ugly kid Joe opened up for them. The things we remember!
